We are excited to announced a full-time vacancy for a family support worker in the west of the county as part of a brand-new pilot project.
The new worker will support whole families over an extended period of time (up to 6 months) when they have been referred to us because of parental substance use and its affects on the family, especially the children. We are looking for someone passionate about working in West Cumbrian communities who also has the skills to support all members of a family, from parents and caregivers to teens and primary school-aged children.
This will be a home-working position with the majority of work taking place out in the community. The role covers the whole of West Cumbria from Millom to Silloth.
The salary for this 37.5 hour role is £20,377pa. We are also open to job sharing. Please give us a call if you would like to talk this through before making an application. Initially, this is a fixed term contract of 2 years but we are hoping that this project will be so successful that will be continued and extended in years to come. As a contemporary employer we would also be happy to discuss a more flexible approach to hours and working times as part of the selection process.
Please note that this is a “regulated” position and you would be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with a vetting and barring check for both the adult and the children’s workforce.
To talk further about the post please call our North and West Manager, Emma Spedding, on 07745 266 555.
All completed applications must be returned no later than noon on Friday 26 March 2021.
