Reducing harmful addiction across Cumbria
Group Support with CADAS
Everything we do is designed to reduce the harm caused by substance abuse or addictions
A CADAS Support Group is a gathering of individuals who share similar experiences around substance use, addiction and recovery. This could include people who are concerned for their own welfare, people in crisis or even friends and family of affected people.
These groups provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment where members can openly discuss their struggles, share their experiences, and offer encouragement to one another.
CADAS support groups are usually led by people who have personal experience with addiction and we find that this fosters a unique sense of mutual understanding and togetherness.
To be part of a CADAS Peer Support Group, you will need to have a short conversation with a CADAS Recovery Coach, who will ask you about your experiences and give you full information about the next meeting.

We also offer 'Drop-in' sessions where you can just turn up and join in.

We won't ask you to pledge to give up your habit, we won't ask you to follow 12 steps and you don't need to join a community.
