Addiction affects people in all walks of life and is more common than many people think.

CADAS provides support for individuals, family members, and carers, promoting recovery in the community.

We also have two strands to our professional support.

If you are struggling with dependency or know someone who is, know that you are not alone.

We are here for anyone who wants help with their harmful addiction.

How can we help?

"Recovery is about progress not perfection"

About 500 people of all ages and backgrounds come to us each year for one-to-one help, so we know a little bit about how you may be feeling at this time.

We are here to support and to help people living with addiction to find a safer, healthier way of living that positively impacts them and those around them.

We do this by listening and asking questions to find out:

  • how you are

  • what you would like to achieve

  • how and when  you would like to do that

Then we make a plan and help our clients keep to it.

Approximately 85% of our clients say that they experience significant improvement in their lives, home and work relationships and mental health when their programme is complete.

At CADAS we support anyone who feels their addiction or substance use is problematic. We don’t require people to give up using altogether if that’s not what they want to do, but we do focus on the reduction of harm to themselves and to others.

We believe everyone is capable of change.

Often, we help clients uncover the reasons for their substance use and find other safer, healthier, more effective ways to manage their mental health. Our clients learn to live in a more resourceful, satisfying way without relying on substance or behavioural addiction.

CADAS support services are based on One to One recovery support which can take place online or face to face and always with an experienced, qualified coach.

We can also tell you about peer support groups and drop-in sessions, health and wellbeing activities and events for clients after they complete their CADAS coaching sessions to help them maintain the changes they have made.

‘I was broken, afraid and full of guilt, remorse and completely confused.

Through four months of hard work tears and laughter and a lot of swearing I am in a completely different place, curious and excited for a brighter future.

I am now 4 months sober; I am grateful for this and feel free of a tremendous burden.’
